on yesterday I attempted to start the jeep with no avail. the engine turned quickly as if to start but did not. this have never happened before so I am wondering if there is a fuse or something preventing the jeep from starting. all belts appear to be in place and tight and there is plenty of gas in the car and there was no indication that anything including no warning lights on before this happened.

OK if you would pull a spark plug and put in the end of the spark plug wire put it near metal like the valve cover and crank it and see if there is spark. If there is spark then I need you to find the valve on the fuel rail it looks like a tire valve have a rag handy and take a small screw driver and push on this valve see if any fuel comes out, it should come out with good force as there should be about 40 psi of fuel pressure so keep you face clear. Let me know what you find.

OK this makes no sense if you spark and fuel it should start. So tell me what color was the spark and with the fuel valve how did it seem as for pressure and volume of fuel?

well, thanks for the galant try but I took it to the dealer and found there is a crankshaft sensor that was preventing the start. they have replaced the sensor and life is good again.

Well that was next, I was going to have you test the cam and crank sensor anyway glad to hear it is running again. Thanks for your support and if there is anything else just ask.
