Transmission problem
1996 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

man someone help please i changed the throttle position sensor and it doesnt shift out of first i ran out of ideas how to fix this problem
96 jeep cherokee
incline 6
4.0L
180,000 on 4 speed autotrans

man this is my only means of transportation please help me someone

I was having the same problem.After looking at the throttle sensor area I tried this and it worked.There are 3 wires connected to the throttle housing.I disconnected all 3 for about 10-15 seconds.After reconnecting,the problem was solved.This is not to say it will fix your problem but it never hurts to start with the easy stuff.

Well i got the problem resolved by a transmission shop it was two wires on my speed sensor output that were touching. it wasnt too bad of a cost $83
