1995 Jeep Cherokee oil leak from the oil filter adapter

Going to replace the o-ring in the oil filter adapter.
How do I remove the adapter from the block ? All
I can see is what looks like a Star type (Torx) bolt
in the center of the plate. Is this the correct way
to remove the adapter from the block ?

Yes that is correct my 96 uses the same thing, I dont know what size of torx it is though.

Thank you for your response. I bought a size T-50 star type for a 3/8 inch drive, but it's too small. Guess i'll have to get a bigger size...Thanks again..
