1994 Jeep Cherokee tie rod end or steering link

The joint connecting the steering arm (or is it called the tie rod?), located right next to the front drive axle on the driver side is worn, loose, and making a clunking sound whenever I turn. I try to do most repairs myself, but this one seems hard to get to. First of all, what part am I looking for, and second of all, can a do-it-yourself guy repair it?

Is there any way you could take a picture and up load it for me? I don't want to be wrong on the part. It sounds like a tie rod, and yes you could do it. It isn't hard. The main thing is you need to screw the new one on the exact same so the alignment isn't messed up. Also, there is a cotter pin that needs removed, a bolt that holds the tierod in place, and you will need to loosten the lock that is located where the tie rod screws into place. You will also need a "tie rod fork" that is placed between the tie rod and the steering knuckle and struck with a hammar to seperate the tie rod.

Let me see a picture so I know I'm giving you the correct info.
