I am changing the transmission in my 1993 Grand Cherokee Limited. I was told that there may be a felt spacer that goes between the drive plate and the torque converter. My Haynes manual doesn't mention any such spacer and I didn't see one when I took the old transmission out. Is there such a part? Do I need it? and if so what is it properly called so I can order one.
