jeep runs fine until it reaches between 45-55 mph then jerks like crazy, then when i speed up to 60 or so it runs fine again. no miss in motor either.

have done the following:

new air filter
new wires & plugs
new distributor rotor & cap
new vacuum hoses
new muffler & small extension
(told catalytic converter was good)
recent tranny flush

thinking it could be:
ignition coil
throttle position sensor
O2 sensor
ERG valve
other sensors??

but i don't want to play guess the part. also: THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAS EVER COME ON
thoughts??

Do you feel it in your steering wheel? If so, a common problem dubbed the "death wobble" by many enthusiasts. This is caused by worn control arm bushings, worn steering components such as tie rod ends, etc. Also, check all of your bushings as well as bearings, ball joints too. The problem is usually the control arm bushings. Do not just replace the steering dampener as this is only a bandaid fix. The reason why I am saying that this is likely your problem, is that the death wobble occurs in the speed range that you mentioned.
