I was driving into work early. Had my lights rear and front defroster on, chilly outside. As I was stopping at a light everything turned off. Tried to start it absolutely nothing, not even hazards. Could this be the alternator or something else.

Make sure the battery has a full charge. If it is down, take it off and get it charged. Make sure all battery connections are good on both ends. It's hard to do any testing without proper battery voltage. You can use a digital multimeter across the battery posts, 12.6 volts is generic spec for a full charge, everything turned off.
