I have been fighting my driver side manual window, I cannot get it to rol up, I can hear it skip gears and not catch. It goes down fine, I cannot get to it easily by taking off the inner door trim. Can I grind the rivets and fixe the gearing? Is it possible to replace it? I can't find a door, either, I thought that would be the best route. Thanks!! ---Mike

is your manual roller good condition?u dont think u only need roller?im sure you can grind the rivets down then pop out them out carefully to change the the gears.i just installed a new window motor to my bros 98 camaro and i had to grind the rivets down in order to get all the interior gears n stuff out and i just put it back together with small nuts bolts wich i baught at home depot ,so yes you can do that.by the way thats the only way u can remove the window motor on a newer camaro ,have to remove it all including window.big mess.go for it just dont over grind it that u mess up the panel.no need to buy another door.just patience and time but thats what u will have to do for sure.good luck
