I need to replace the transmission mount on my Jeep Cherokee Laredo and would like any info that would help me with doing so--especially safety issues. Also, the new mount that I purchased does not include new bolts--is it imperative that I use new bolts and is there any way to determine their size until after I remove them? I live in a rural area and only have one car, so I'd be removing and replacing and then driving to get new bolts and then removing and replacing...ad nauseum...

Shouldnt need new bolts. As for instructions, my software didnt have anything, that is one of those deals where they want you to look at it and figure it out.It should be fairly easy. You will need a floorjack and a block of wood to lift the trans off the crossmember so you can get the new mount in. May at worst case have to remove the crossmember to access the mount. Use the jack and block of wood to hold trans/t-case up while doing repairs
