1986 jeep cherokee

I have a 1986 cherokee with a 2.6l. v-6, after coming home from iraq i went to drive my jeep witch has set-up in the garage since i left, the problem is i have no brakes unless i pump them at med. speed 7-12 times before they catch and then it is lousy at best, i did notice a leak between master cylinder and brake booster,but not to bad it does not want to have any brakes without babying them,but that is the only problem that i can see the brake light stays on any response would be greatful,as this is the only thing that was not taken while i was gone.
