Drove my 1999 XJR about 30 minutes to a shopping malll. After about a 10 minute stay returned to the car and it would not start. It cranks (turns over) just fine and tries to start. RPM will get up to about 4-500 and the engine promptly dies. Listened in the trunk but can't tell if the fuel pump is working. Pulled both pump relays. They work. Don't have a OBD-II code reader. Possible inertia switch malfunction? Only 23,700 miles so I don't think the fuel pump should have failed. Disconnected battery for 10 minutes. Recharded battery. Still won't start.

not an inertia switch fault as it is getting fuel and firing up .. we really need to check the OBD computer to see what fault codes are showing ?
