My poor old but immaculate Jag has a metallic rattle sound on start up - like a rapid tic tic tic sound (bit like sticking tappits but not) . It appears to be coming from very low down and may be belt related - however this still has good tension but my vision is poor of where this might be coming from as sound loaction may be deceptive. When the engine is revved or warm the rattle becomes a slow and intermittent tic which still sounds metallic. I hope it is not inside the sealed compartment - as this will mean MONEY, any suggestions please
