My XJS has been making a knocking sound that has gotten worse, I check under the hood and discovered that the rubber bearings on both sides above the wheel have rotted. When I removed a wheel, I saw that there is more rubber that has deteriorated. Is this something I can fix myself? what parts would I need? Should I replace more than just the rubber?

you can do this on your own. you can get the new bushings from your local jag dealer. it might not be a bad idea to do the shocks while you are in there.
