I'm considering the purchase of a 2001 Jaguar XJR (with 67,000 miles) from a used car dealer. The car appears to run well during a short test drive. However, I was able to contact the previous owner who revealed problems with the mass air flow sensor meter. The previous owner has repairs completed at a Jaguar dealership several times for the same problem. She indicated the car would suddenly lose power . Out of frustration and continued repair bills, she traded in the car. Should I avoid buying this car ? The car is in excellent shape otherwise. Thanks.
