Wipers are not working after being damaged at a car wash

V8 automatic 45,000 miles

I went through the car wash and as I was leaving my wiper went on and the blower went over it. It did not seem to do anything but now the wiper will not work. I acts like it wants to but will not go. I can hear the motor and see it try to work. What do you think happened? Thanks
