1997 Jaguar XJ6, mileage: 84,000, Automatic Transmission. My car makes a clunking sound every morning, right after it moves around 1 - 2 yards. Then, during the day, If the car is stopped less than an hour, there are no noises, but if I do not drive it for more than 5 hours, then the noise is there again. What should I do? If I need to replace the transmission, can somebody give me a fair estimate? Many thanks.
