1997 Jaguar XJ6
I purchased OEM side mirror housing covers and also purchased what was presented as an authentic repair manual. The directions read " carefully remove outside covers to replace with new." This is missing some ctitical detail for me. When I asked a local Jag repair station i was told "we break the old ones and glue new ones on. So far none have fallen off." There must be a way to gain access to the screw or bolt heads that hold these in place ( or so I hope) Please help. Thanks
