Support the rear of the vehicle by the frame with jack stands or something "solid". A stack of empty coffee cans or a couple of lawn chairs, is not recommended. Support the wheel hub with a floor jack or something similar so it doesn't drop when you unbolt the strut. Remove 3 small bolts on top plate and one large bolt through the bottom. Lower your hub support and the strut assm. should pull right out. Now comes the tricky part. You must, I repeat, must have a spring compressor to take the tension off the coil spring before you remove the large nut on the to. You can usually rent one somewhere. Also, a 1/2" air impact or similar tool makes removing the bottom strut mounting bolt and the large nut on the top of the strut, a lot easier. If you remove the top strut nut without the aid of a spring compressor, well, let me put it this way. After you get out of the hospital, you may find the spring in your neighbor's yard. Re-assembly is the reverse. Hope this helps.
