1994 Jaguar XJ6 coolant leak

steam coming out close to firewall ,I checked two
hoses going to heater core, they are ok. where is it coming from? thanks

Could be headgasket. With a mirror, look at the backside of the cylinder head below the valve cover.
Look for a wet area or a white chaulky residue where the head meets the block.
