my jaguar has 200,000 km and i just bought it off a buddy. i was driving today and everything was working fine until i noticed the air condition had stopped working. it just blowed very hot air. i also noticed the electrical signal was on. do these 2 problems have anything to do with each other? if so, what would be the cause of this?

Have you checked a/c fuse, relay. Is the compressor turning? I may be low on freon and the low pressure switch won't allow the a/c clutch to pull in. I'm not sure what you mean by "the electrical signal was on" but, I doubt if the two are related.
