Sporadically these 2 lights come on simultaneously-a yellow anti-lock light and a red brake light. A mechanic(not a Jaguar specialist) made for me a copy from his computer which reads:1990 Jaguar xj-6 L6 3980ccDOHC. The mechanic said he read the numbers 21 and 37 displayed on my Vehicle Warning display.
His computer display states that number 21 is failure mode Valve Failure --failure location is Main Valve.
Number 37 is (failure mode) SENSOR FAILURE-failure location is Right Rear Sensor.
The follwing day the mechanic reinspected the car
after being driven until the 2 warning lights reappeared. He was unable to read any signals from the connector in the rear drivers side wheel well. So he is reluctant to specify what part to replace. '
The mechanic removed the accumulator which appearers to be working O K. The interior diaphragm seems to be intact.
If the solution is to be replacing one part at a time,in your opinion which should be replaced?

I would replace the right rear sensor first the clear the codes and see what, if anything, comes back.
