hello. thanks for being here to help us all out. i have looked at my chiltons on how to change out the starter on my jag, but was wondering if there are any short cuts to help make it easier than what it appears to be? i have been under the car and looked from the top and it is like almost impossible to to get to. thanks. cj.

First and formost, disconnect the negative battery cable. 80% of the work is done from underneath or through the wheel well. You will need just about every flex end and extension you own or can borrow. I would highly recommend you get a different step by step manual. As far as I'm concerned over the years I found Mitchell to be the best, but Haynes aren't bad either. I have found Chilton will tell you just enough to get you in trouble.
Good luck.
