PURCHASED A 1992 XJ40 3.2 MANUAL. HAS BEEN LOOKED AFTER VERY WELL NO EXSPENCE SPARED. STARTS ON THE BUTTON WHEN COLD EVERY TIME BUT RUN HER UP TO OPERATING TEMPERATURE AND TURN HER OFF AND SHE WILL NOT START UNLESS YOU BURY YOUR FOOT ON THE PEDAL AND KEEP TURNING HER OVER AND OVER , HAVE HAD CODE 14 COME UP TWICE SINCE IVE HAD HER AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS IS A COOLANT SENSOR DEFECT ARE THE 2 ISSUES RELATED ONCE STARTED RUNS SWEET.

Coolant Temperature Sensor (CTS)
The CTS is located at the rear of the thermostat housing and consists of a temperature sensitive resistor. The electrical resistance within the CTS decreases with increasing temperature.
ECU monitors the resistance value and triggers temperature enrichment circuits (when necessary) to extend the injector's injection time during cold starting and warm-up.
