how do i compress the rear calipers on this car?

regular x-type.

post back if you have x-type sport.

you will have to use a brake caliper piston retractor tool (206-080+ and crankshaft pulley/damper remover (303-588). then you can fully retract the rear brake caliper piston into the housing.

I have already rented the tool and tried it. it won't budge. I bought a new caliper and threw the old one into the woods. Problem solved.

dont throw it into the woods! take it back and return it for the core exchange fee youll get some money back.

The problem with this format is that I asked the question days ago. My car sat torn apart for several days while I waited for a solution. Finally I could wait no longer and I just bought a new caliper. You need to figure out a way to speed up the process.

sorry but i had to find out what type of model jaguar it was as you just selected other jaguar model.

cant really get much faster then this besides instant messaging.
