I have a 2002 X type Jaguar, I was driving down the freeway and all of a sudden the transmission shift into neutral ( Car did not show any signs of gear slliping or anything of a sort). Car refused to go into gear immediately afterward.
Couple of hours later, Car would go into first gear but not into any other gear. No trouble code were available. check engine light came on and went off. I am looking at a completely thrashed Tranny or would servicing alleviate the trouble?
