2002 Other Jaguar Models metalic knocking in engine

hi jaguar dealership technician here you are not very clear were noise is but most problems i have run into is flex plate bolts lose in transmission also torque converter bolts lose,hard to tell you anything else you should take to dealer to get checked out asap

Separate the problem between the engine and transmission. Rev the engine while in park and see if this occurs. If not then most likely the problem lies in the transmission or drive train (CV joint most likely).

hi i would also inspect transfer case notorious for making noise put car on a rack and run in drive with someone accelerating car listen for noise never seen any problems with cv joints ive been with jaguar 11 years at dealership x types have not had any cv problems hard to tell by not listening to it you should take car in for inspection
