it wont start in the morning

my car wont start in the morning after been parked for the night. it does turn key but it doesn't start. but when my mechanic comes up and and unplug the computers cable and and plugs it in it immediately starts. he is saying it a program problem. and also it does stop running all of the sudden while im driving. pls help .
