1987 Isuzu Truck 4 cyl Four Wheel Drive Manual

the outer bearing where the pinion shaft is at needs replaced does the whole differential need to come out or can it be replaced simply by removing driveshaft and pinion nut

Hi there,

The diff must be removed and overhauled , do not waste you money or time doing the outer pinion bearing only, even if you just do the one bearing the diff preload must be fully re set or you will destroy it.
