2001 Isuzu Trooper RPM surge between first and second gears

2001 Isuzu Trooper Four Wheel Drive Automatic 112700 miles

When accelerating from first to second the vehicle will rev up all of a sudden, then drop into second and the vehicle will jump. This only happens when the vehicle is cold, and between first and second. If I slowly accelerate into second, I can then push it without any issues.

Has the fluid and filter been changed on it? Fluid level and color look OK? Some vehicles should have a band adjustment with the fluid and filter service, may not be a major issue, YET!

I bought this vehicle about 2 years ago, and have not had them flush the transmission. I was thinking about having someone do that soon, but I still need to know if you think it is worth keeping, or would I be better off selling it.

I'm afraid you should know that better than me! Depends on how the engine ism burn any oil? Loose any antifreeze? If all that is OK, then, a tranny flush at about 125.00 is a good investment...
