2000 Isuzu Trooper Throttle sensor

I am having issues with my transmission engaging on my 2000 isuzu trooper. I droped the pan and there is not medal in there. ithink in may be the throttle sensor. Would this keep the transmission from engaging.

Did you try to retrieve for trouble codes?

there are no codes when I try to run them. The gear will not catch. Will not do anything, Just start.

When there ia a fault with the TPS, it would cause erratic, harsh or non shifting but would not affect non engagement.

When trans do not engage possible causes are :
1. Faulty PCM.
2. Faulty shift solenoids.
3. Wiring fault.
4. shiftlinkages out of adjustment or broken.

Was any repairs carried out prior to this occurring?
Before the trans failed to engage, were there any significant symptoms?
Is the CHECK TRANS ligght on steady , blinking of goes OFF after engine is started?

The trans was replaced about 8 months prior. And the check engine light is on. Other then that it just started with slippage and not wanting to take the drive gear when shifted.
