The brake pedal pretty much hits the floor the first time you step on it and yields only moderate stopping power. 1 or 2 pumps later it seems to build up pressure and you get a firm pedal. Let it sit and the pedal gets soft again.
There are no fluid leaks. I've bled the snot out of the brakes and as far as I can tell there is no air in the system.
The pedal is hard and does not drop, when the car is off and also after it's pumped up.
