I have to replace my wiper blades about every 6 months or sooner. I do live in the Midwest so we have fluctuating weather that can produce wear and tear on them, but it seems a little often to replace them. I purchased a set of the new curved wiper blades last and they worked great to begin with. I just replaced them because of wear, but mostly because they were missing a large portion on the driver side down stroke, like they weren't even touching the windshield in that spot. The new blades are not the curved ones, just regular blades, and they're doing the same thing but not as badly. Does the blade or the arm need to be bent somehow to fix this or what do you suggest? Thanks!

You should buy new wiper arms at your local auto parts store or at least replace the spring in the wiper arm. That's probably why your wipers don't work. when that spring wears out the wipers wont have any pressure on the windshield and you will get streaks and or spots that don't get wiped at all. The same thing happened on my rodeo. and it was like 25 or 30$ to replace both arms.
