I recently bought a '99 Rodeo from a guy who I know took great care of it, and it had a new engine put in 70,000 miles ago.

It was running great when I first got it, and then I recently got a transmission flush (the manual says it should get one every 25,000 miles) and now the engine starts and runs much louder. I'm not noticing any performance problems, however, although it feels like it doesn't get up to speed on the highway quite as fast. But I've taken it on 2 hour trips lately with no problems.

Should I be concerned by this? If so, what could be causing it to run louder?

Thanks.

Hi there,
I can't think of any reason why this would happen, I would ask the question of the transmission shop that did the work, and ask then to just re check their work. otherwise i would just keep an eye on things for the time being. May be do a tune if you have not done one as yet.
