1999 Isuzu Rodeo Question 6 cyl Automatic

we just put a new tranny in our rodeo it still idles high and shifts hard.could this all be due to the throttle posistioning sensor?

YES; tps will effect both of those issues.maybe even freeway stalling.part only cost $23.00 and 15 minutes to install.
