Hi,

If the timing belt happens to snap on my Isuzu, will the engine blow or burn out, or will the belt simply require replacement.

Thx fab

Hi there,

Valve damage will normally occur with a broken timing belt, a comp test with the new belt fitted will show if this is the case with your engine.

the V6 is a non-interference design engine, so no damage will occur if it breaks just replace belt..for the 4 cylinder style though it would damage motor..

Hi there,

Try and get the belt done sooner rather than later as even if there is no valve damage with this engine, if it fails there is a good chance that it will strand you and this can happen at the most inopportune time.
