My engine has been overheating.It acts like a stuck thermostat with no visable flow in the radiator.I changed the thermostat and the upper hose with no results.My fear is that I have a warped,cracked head or head gasket problem.(no coolant in the oil) I have purchased a water pump but would like to check the compression before replacing it for I am not convinced the pump will resolve the issue. I have a manual compression gauge but have never used it. Any advice on other troubleshooting steps ? And "How To" information on performing a compression ck ?
