I just had the transmission rebuilt but it revs to 4k rpm before shifting into 1st then seems to skip over 2nd. Before I would have to shift manually when the transmission light was on but if I turned the car off and pressed the "winter" button on the center console it would shift ok again. Before I took it to the shop it started slipping out of gear and I couldn't even shift manually.
Now, the rear anti lock brake and E brake light stay on when not engaged. The engine used to idle really high and would shift into 2nd and drive 30mph without the gas being pressed. I had to hold the break down to keep from speeding foward when in traffic. I replaced the Idol actuator (I think) but no luck. Now it doesnt do that so I was wondering if maybe the rear antilock brakes were engaged. It also pulls pretty strong to the right.
