Hello,
I have a 2001 4X4 Isuzu Rodeo V6 Automatic with 96,000 miles on it. We live at the base of a pretty steep hill and in the morning when I back out of my driveway and attempt to go forward up the hill my car doesn't seem to want to get in gear. When I put my car into drive it sometimes will just keep rolling back or it will clunck and jump as if my transmission is bad. This is, however, the only time I notice it, it shifts fine any other time. My husband thinks it is some sort of vaccum problem, I think it may be a trans fluid issue. We live 1 1/2 hours from the nearest Isuzu dealer. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated!

When was the tranny last serviced ?

Could be it won't hurt changing it-fluid/filter-don't work will indicate tranny internal problem-

Have it pressure tested
