94 Rodeo over heating

I have a 94 Isuzu Rodeo that is over heating, I have to add coolant very often, but there are no visible signs of leaks.
It had a small leak in the radiator a few months ago and I added a stop leak to it. Ever since then I've had the over heating problem, does anyone have any ideas as to what is causing the problem.

i had a similar problem i had a leak and it made my truck overheat. try this, check all the hoses connected to the radiator especially the bottom ones make sure that they are slid on as far as they can go thats what was causing my leak, make sure the clamps are holding good, check the drain plug to make sure its still good. drain your radiator fill it back up and add some of the radiator stop leak that also cleans your cooling system. thats what fixed my problem

Good possibility that the radiator is partially plugged up. Try taking it out and to a radiator shop for cleaning or purchase a new one.

I had a similar problem with a Suzuki Vitara. It had a small leak in the radiator and try a stop leak on it.

After some weeks the car started to overheat when it climbed a hill or when RPM was above 3000.

The problem was that the stop leak sealed the leak, but it plugged up the radiator too! I try to clean it on a radiator shop, but it start leak again.

The solution in my case was a new radiator.

Does anyone know any tricks for holding the crankshaft pulley still to take it off. This has to be removed to get the timming belt off and get to the water pump.
