Hi, my car is turning over but it won't crank sorry that you was confused about what I was staying. My ignition was left on over night. And since then the car has been unable to start up. My mechanic like I told you before already put a coil, distributor, and a battery in the car. And the car still won't crank up. Now he think that it might be the computer located in the car right under the dashboard. I hate to spend more money into this car and that's not the problem. I know you sent me a message and said it might be the ICM likely to be faulty. But you don't think that its the timing belt. Please get intouch with me concerning this.

You should have replied to your previous post so that I can follow up when I receive a notification.

Turn over = crank. It won't fire up even if it cranks.

Ok, we got that straight.

If an engine won't fire up, you need to confirm if it is electrical or fuel. Did your mechanic check for sparks at the plugs? If there are sparks, you need to check the fuel pressure.

If there is no sparks while cranking, then the timing belt is possible.

I do not know if your ICM is built into the distributor or is a separate unit. If separate, you need to check it.

I really trust my mechanic and I know he is not trying to duke me, but he still do not know why the truck is not starting. He told me the other day he don't think its the timing belt, because everything looks entact. And as for getting sparks, the distributor is getting sparks, but nothing is comming" from" the distributor. So he think if he can figure out why there's no sparks comming from the distributor. He might get the engine started. Please help me because I really need this truck to run.......

You said the distributor is getting sparks, that means the ignition coil is outside the distributor?

If spark gets to the distributor and is not coming out, it should be the rotor, cap or plug cables, unless the distributor is not turning.
