2003 Isuzu Axiom won't turn over

I saw that someone had posted the same question in Feb 2009, but I did not see a reply.

Occasionally when I turn the key, the dashboard lights up but the car does not turn over - makes so noise at all. Sometime it will turn over normally on next attempt, sometimes it will be several seconds of silence, before it turns over. On a few occasions it did not start for 15 minutes & many attempts.

I replaced the battery & cleaned & checked the cables, but the problem persists.

makes so noise at all. Did you meant when you turn key to start nothing happpens. If so check the battery and connections if okay your probable cause here could be the starter, starter relay, park and neutral switch, and ignition switch.

Now if its cranking over and will not start-Do below

Get a helper disconnect a sparkplug wire or 2 and ground it to the engine -have helper crank engine over-do you have a snapping blue spark? If so-you have a fuel related problem, check the fuel pressure to rule out the fuel filter/fuel pump/pressure regulator and listen to the injector/s are they pulsing or hook up a noid light. No snapping blue spark continue to troubleshoot the ignition system-power input to the coil/coil packs,coil's resistances,distributor pick-up coil, ignition control module, cam and crank sensors and computer Note: If it doesn't apply disregard it
