Transmission problem
2002 Isuzu Axiom 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive

I was driving down the highway when i noticed alot of smoke coming from my suv. I stopped and looked under the suv and noticed transmission fluid all over the place. Did i blow my transmission?

Hi there,

wash down and top up the fluid, run the engine and check for any leaks around the transmission cooler lines, this is a common place to leak for these transmissions, start here.

i washed it down and cant find where the leak is coming from. I would like to make sure that i have transmission fluid in it but again cant find where to put it?

Hi there, There is a fill point on the transmission, see pic, you should warm up the trans and remove plug No 1 this is the over fill plug, the oil should dribble out when plug removed this is also the fill point, Use dextron 111 transmission oil.
