is engine the same on auto vs manual transmission?

No. These engines are going to be the same regardless of what transmission was attached to them.

Basically it would cost the OEM more money if they had many changes needed based on transmission. So there will be differences if you were trying to change the transmission from manual to auto or the other way.

However, the engine is going to be the same.

I included the process on how to change the flywheel in case you need it.

Clearly just unbolt the flex plate and then install the flywheel.

Thanks, makes sense. I had the numbers for the flywheel bolts as 55 ft/lb, but i see it here as 22?

Correct. However, look at the step below the picture in step 2 on the last page.

Torque to 22 ft lbs but once you get them all to 22 you go in the same torqueing sequence another 35 degree turn.

This means you can use a protractor to figure out the proper angle for 30-35 degrees or get close to it. Clearly half of 90 degrees is 45 so on a clock, you go from 12 to just past 1 or almost 2 o'clock and that will be about 35 degrees.

However, this would more than likely come to about 55 ft lbs but they want you to go in stages so that it doesn't warp the flywheel.

You are welcome. However, I just went back and edited that. 12 to 3 on the clock would be 90 degrees. So you want to go just short of half way between 12 and 3 for about 35 degrees.

I have a torque wrench so i will go 22 everywhere then go in a cross pattern to 52-54 i guess.
