The above is a truck I own but my question isn't only about it. I service fleet vehicles, both gasoline and diesel, and need to decide about using fuel conditioners/treatments. What I am looking for is answers to questions like the ones below and any other information or opinion you can give me; thanks for the help.
1. Are fuel conditioners/treatments necessary or a
waste of money; is the manufacturer's fuel good
enough as is without the added expense?
2. If regular treatments are necessary/needed, what
gasoline/diesel treatments are the best and do
they also clean and condition the injectors?
3. If using treatments, is the manufacturer's
recommended interval good or, in your opinion,
does it need to be added more or less often?

Ok this is very tricky to answer because of the ethenol in our fuel today has shortened its life span to months not yrs. So fuels are not as good as they were before ethenol. Now as for fuel additives this all depends on what you want it to do. As for an all around fuel additive to help with fuel stability and injection cleaning for both gas and diesel I would recomend Seafoam. You only need to do this like once every few months as I do in my vehicles.
Now if you are looking to store and keep fuel good then you should use the new ethenal stabil numbers 22239 and 22240 larger bottle. If you have a vehilce that has bad fuel in it and you forgot to use stabil before storing it then stabill has a new product called start your engine.
