boot permanently locked, doesn't respond to locking switch or key. other doors are fine.

You will need to get inside the car and remove the rear door panel, it sounds like the latch is not working because the control rod has fallen off the latch or key lock assembly. You may need to remove the rear seats. Check out the diagrams (below). Please let us know what happens.
