Took it to a Nissan dealer, they said the CVT was bad and they replaced it ($4,200.00). The same no power issue occurred just after picking it up from the dealer. I brought it back, they called Nissan tech and was told to reprogram the transmission control module. Ran fine for two weeks and is now doing the same thing. This issue never throws a code. I have also cleaned the mass air flow sensor.

A loss of power or ground circuit can sometimes cause a module to put the vehicle in failure management mode, has the vehicle been involved in a collision? This could be a wiring issue, I can't count how many times I've taken over jobs like these that other techs have thrown modules at, when the whole time it was a wiring issue.

No collision. but will start chasing wires. Thanks
One issue I can recreate is while at any speed I can let off the gas put it in neutrals them back in drive, wait a second then press the gas pedal with no throttle response for 3 or 4 seconds.
