I recently just purchased a 96 Ford Ranger and the wipers do not work like normal. I checked the fuses, replaced the turn signal switch. A new motor is coming this week.
However,
When I opened the power distribution box the wiper relay was missing and in place were two wires that ran back into the cab and were connected to a simple switch. When I started moving the wires the wipers started working. So I replaced the relay correctly and disconnected the switch. The switch was also connected to a light blue and white wire, but it does not look like that wire has anything to do with the wipers. So, I’m confused...and advice is appreciated.
