I installed an intake manifold on my 454 big block and it seems to not cover a small little slit in the middle of the engine on both sides of the heads, I am wondering why there’s a gap and why it’s not covered by the intake.

Thank you, when start the engine is there vacuum present? Also, can you zoom out a little so I can see more of the engine? This might be normal as some aftermarket intake manifolds do not cover the EGR port/casting.

Thank you, can you remove the intake so I can see the EGR port? Can you tell if the intake will cover the EGR port completely?
