Instrument cluster out

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros.

Are you referring to the aux fuse number 41? See pictures 1 and 2.

Also, pictures 3, 4, and 5 show the instrument cluster wiring schematic. I need to know if anything on the cluster works and if you purchases a new or used cluster. These things were known to go bad and if you got a used one, chances are you may have gotten another bad one.

That is the fuse that keeps blowing. I actually tried a rebuilt cluster.

Did the same fuse blow prior to replacement?

Yes it did. We replaced the fuse then put in the new cluster and it blew. Possible wiring issue we are assuming.

I dug a little deeper. The 20 amp Aux fuse doesn't have to do with the cluster. It is for the accessory outlets in the front. I suspect they aren't working. See pictures 1 and 2.

With that, I suggest locating the body relay block under the dash. It is powered by the ignition fuse 1. See picture 4. The fuse is in the instrument panel fuse box on the driver's side. Make sure the fuse is good and then you need to check if there is power to the relay block. See picture 3 for wire color and location.
