Installing EVAP Valve?

I am trying to replace the EVAP Valve and there is a hose connected to the purge canister that is in the way of accessing the EVAP Valve. There was a skid plate that I was able to drop to gain a little more access; but there is still only about a 3" space to try to get my hands/tools in to try to work. I can't see the connector clearly to ascertain the right way of removing it without breaking the purge cannister. It appears to be a push-on connector with locking clamp.
The pictures were taken with the purge cannister aimed at the passenger side and the connector aimed at the driver side of the vehicle. There isn't enough room to get my cellphone up there to take a picture from the side of the connector.

Hello, are you having an issue with filling the gas tank with the handle at the station shutting off, or what is the reason for trying to take the canister out? This Evap system is not a "conventional" type system where there would be a Vent valve that is open during refueling. This system has a one-way check valve that allows vapors to be directed into the Canister during refueling. I'll post the connector I believe you're trying to disconnect. And some other info with it, but there is a Technical Service Bulletin on refueling issues for this vehicle.
I think this is what you are looking for, the service info for this system is not very clear. But I will post what is here, including the TSB
Here is the Evap system Operations, and the Technical Bulletin (diagrams 3-6)

This is supposed to be a quick disconnect line, so I would try squeezing the tabs in before trying to bend them out, like diagram 7. Bending them out looks like they might break off, so try pushing them in towards the red arrows first and see if it comes off that way, if it doesn't come off easy, then the tabs in the other direction might fold out.
I've added the location of the Purge valve as well, the 8th diagram.
